- Excellent book. I bought this book to help me learn about my new fascination with crystals, and I love it! It’s simple, easy to understand, with nice pictures. Also has extra information on crystal prescriptions, grids, and chakras. It’s been a great beginner book!
- Awesome read this book. This is a great book for someone like me starting out with learning about crystals and stones. It's an easy read and the format is very helpful. Really a enjoyable book.

- Has a group picture on the cover but those are the only stones one will find here. . There are just too many stones that are similar to one another for a Beginners book not to have them. Stones found in the same family may not even look like 'kissin cousins' Opals aren't mentioned and those coming from Peru aren't going to look like anything from Australia, America or Europe. Where, oh, where have all the Jaspers gone? Pearls and Corals anyone? And please don't get your Selenite or Halite wet, it, along with a few others can be badly damaged or totally melted!
It would have also helped if different examples/types of meditation had been explored...as well as the definitions and a visual/color/image guide to the Chakras.
Last, but not least, beginners should be warned about 'the Wannabees'; it can be hard to tell the difference between colored glass or Moldavite for example. 'Fordite' or 'Detroit Agate' is another 'gottcha'--just built up layers of car paint!
One could conceivably use the book alongside a couple of others with illustrations, but why waste the effort?? - I found this book a really good book with lots of Crystals For Beginners. A great reference book for anyone who is entering into the world of learning Complete Crystal Reference Guide For Personal Healing. Very pleased with this purchase.
- I know virtually nothing about crystals, but this book is very informative and an interesting read. Crystals have many healing properties that I was completely unaware of, so this was an eye opener for me.
